Mermaid on my easel

I'm really starting to enjoy painting my first mermaid in oils! 

I still consider her to be little more than a rough sketch, but I'm at that point where I can see in my minds eye what I want, and I become slightly manic in the studio:)  

There was a time when my studio afforded me that extra colour I craved, but lately as my children become more independent I follow my wanderlust.

 My social circle has become as eclectic as my imagination, and it seems I'm becoming a winter artist, today the rain is pouring down, so plans were cancelled and I'm in my studio ;)

 Sydney really is a magic city.
