Sea Glass Sculpture
"SPLASH"
My sculpture highlights the power of our natural environment and its ability to create beauty.
It is amazing what nature has done with our rubbish. Glass objects that found their way into the sea have been tossed and tumbled for decades. Smashed into pieces then caressed until the surface is worn smooth into a beautiful soft patina, almost organic in nature.
Finally the pieces wash up upon the sand. I find them tumbling in the shallows or sparkling in the sun.
Use your imagination… what journey has this glass been on, each single piece is unique, with its own story of intrigue, enchantment and history.
